Biometric 3D finger vein identification
OUR TECHNOLOGY
3D Finger Vein: more secure biometric identification
With the 3D image of your fingers, our sensors and software build a scan of the vein of your fingers that will allow you to identify yourself later.
The novelty of the innovation is the application of 3D technology to finger vein recognition in order to solve current biometric security issues. This technology guarantees the confidentiality of user data.
OUR HISTORY
Consortium between three specialized Swiss laboratories
The idea of optimizing the existing means of identification and authentication, and of providing more security for developing processed biometric data. The IT departments in collaboration with the CTI developed a new product in 2013 and created the company Global ID in 2015.
The main objective of Global ID is to bring to market an innovative new technology to reliably identify people using 3D biometric finger vein data. The new technology addresses the main drawbacks of current technologies, namely reliability, robustness and high cost. The team draws on years of research at Swiss universities in biometrics and adding knowledge to do business in the developing world, to create a very interesting proposition.
OUR VISION
The use of biometric data as a means of authentication is increasingly perceived by users for many reasons. At Global ID, we focus on the confidentiality of data processed blind, we offer products and services that guarantee a high level of security and confidentiality. EPFL’s LASEC laboratory brings its specialization in cryptology to secure private data that can only be recognized by a certified and authorized system. This is why this technology meets the requirements of the most demanding customers such as banks, airports, hospitals (for individuals or patients), governments or non-governmental organizations.
This is our vision! We guarantee the confidentiality of the data processed and develop products at a lower cost.
